St. James congregation has been active in the community and serving the needs of those around us for many years. We have run ESL programs, we have partnered with Inn from the Cold, and other compassion ministries in the city. Currently we are a depot for the Good Food Box; we support the St. Edmund’s Food bank; we actively support a refugee family, and a refugee program run through Calgary Catholic Immigration Services; we provide Christmas hampers for those in need; our Knit Crochet Group provides items to many non profits in the city; we have groups that visit long term care homes. In addition to these things, we often provide financial and meal support to those in need who come through our doors. We provide children’s and youth programming and many community building initiatives.
