Athabasca River 'Points of Interest' Story Map

by Athabasca Watershed Council

Help us tell the story of the Athabasca River! There are so many natural, cultural and recreational points of interest along this 1,231 km water way that stretches from the Columbia Glacier in Jasper National Park all the way to Lake Athabasca and the Peace-Athabasca Delta in northeast Alberta. The Athabasca River watershed includes almost a quarter of Alberta's landbase and is world renowned for its resources. We want to share the river's story by using ESRI's ArcGIS software, photographs, videos, stories and other media, collected from municipalities, scientists and recreational groups. But we need your help to hire a project coordinator, get GIS support, and build the story map. We hope you will join us on this journey!
