Let Them Play is a Calgary Catholic Education Foundation initiative to build inclusive, sensory-friendly playgrounds at St. Anthony School and St. Paul School in Calgary.
These schools serve students with complex needs who can face sensory, mobility, and developmental barriers that make traditional play spaces inaccessible. When that happens, children are excluded from something fundamental: the chance to play, connect, regulate, grow in confidence, and belong.
That is the problem this project addresses.
The Calgary Catholic Education Foundation is the fundraising partner of the Calgary Catholic School District. We raise funds to remove barriers and create opportunities that support students’ full formation—mind, body, and spirit. Let Them Play will help create outdoor spaces that are safe, accessible, and designed for students who need more than a standard playground can offer.
This is not a cosmetic improvement. It is practical support with measurable impact. Inclusive, sensory-responsive play environments can improve student well-being, participation, social interaction, and daily school experience. They also strengthen school communities by making outdoor time more accessible and more meaningful for children who are too often left out.
Your donation or grant will help fund accessible design features and equipment that enable students to participate with dignity. The impact is local, visible, and immediate.
Every child should have a place to play. Every child should be able to belong.
Your support helps make that possible.
