Red Deer River Watershed Alliance SocietyRED RIVER, Alberta
The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance (RDRWA) is a multi-sector, non-profit organization that promotes the good use and proper management of water within the Red Deer River Watershed. A designated Watershed Planning and Advisory Council under Alberta’s Water for Life Strategy (2003), the RDRWA reports on the state of the watershed, coordinates watershed planning processes, and educates our communities on the value and importance of watersheds. We work closely with groups across sectors, including with a variety of municipalities across the watershed.
The RDRWA is a Watershed Planning and Advisory Council (WPAC) as designated under Alberta’s Water for Life Strategy. Through a number of key activities, we engage with a wide number of stakeholders that affect water and land use practices in your community, and therefore have an impact on our 49,000 sq km watershed.
