The Association of Volunteer Centres and Volunteer Engaging Organizations of Alberta

Volunteer Alberta is an inclusive member association serving and representing Alberta’s diverse nonprofit organizations. We are a voice for the value of volunteerism and the nonprofit sector, encouraging participation and collaboration that contributes to the common good in Alberta.

We support the work of nonprofit organizations through network stewardship and workforce development and help them impact urban and rural communities across the province.

Network Stewardship is strengthening the resiliency of the sector for organizations of all sizes, from all subsectors. We build and connect networks, share information, and increase opportunities to cooperate, collaborate, and take collective action.

Workforce Development is nurturing human resource capacity in the sector for both paid staff and volunteers. We provide access to relevant resources and develop programs and services to address the challenges we face in the sector.

What we do for you:

- We recognize successes, challenges, and opportunities – and we provide solutions.
- We represent our members and reflect the collective voice of Alberta nonprofits – and we elevate that voice provincially and nationally.
