CAL Honduras

Honduras only provides education to grade 6 and beyond that, many students no longer have access to free education because they cannot afford uniforms, transportation and other expenses. A program for Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) has been developed where marginalized students of any age can study the Honduras Government Grades 7, 8 and 9 on computers which have been set up in 35 different centers in Honduras. About 750 students are enrolled in this program. CAL can be delivered by Sombrilla at a cost of about $100 USD per student per year.
