FORT EDMONTON FOUNDATION

The Fort Edmonton Foundation is a charity in Edmonton founded in 1969 by a small group of visionaries and Rotarians interested in establishing a visible memorial to the origins of the City of Edmonton. With the community's support, including volunteers and donations, the Foundation rebuilt the original Fort Edmonton, created a heritage park, and developed a living history museum in Edmonton's river valley.

Today, the work of the founding members continues, and the Foundation focuses on preserving Edmonton's history at Fort Edmonton Park. Working in partnership with the Fort Edmonton Management Company, the Foundation connects with community leaders, volunteers, citizens, and businesses to secure the financial means to enable capital project development within Fort Edmonton Park.

The Fort Edmonton Foundation is also working diligently to ensure Fort Edmonton Park is accessible to children, youth, schools, and community groups that are experiencing social or economic barriers. The Fort Edmonton Foundation CARES initiative is fundraising to provide those in need with admission and an inclusive experience at Fort Edmonton Park.
